Offer and web experience development

Landing page development

Resource: Landing Page Best Practices

  • Build a landing page for each consumer community, or group similar communities together in one page. For example:
    • Academic Program: Educators + Students
    • Military + First Responders
    • Everyday Heroes: Healthcare + Educators + First Responders + Military
  • Implement SEO best practices
  • Ensure your page(s) are optimized for both desktop & mobile devices
  • Use imagery and messaging that is specific to each consumer community
  • Feature the offer in the page header
  • Include any fine print, offer exclusions, an eligibility list, and FAQs
  • Add a personal touch, Do you have career programs, internships, employee stories, a mission statement, products, non-profit partnerships, or other company initiatives that show your support for this community? If so, include this information or link to it
  • Make the CTA easy to find, and use clear link text, such as:
    • Verify Now
    • Sign Up Now
    • Verify Status
    • I'm a Teacher
    • Join Now

Pre-verification journey development

  • Determine if your offer needs to be gated behind an account login
  • Does a consumer have to create a new account to go through the verification journey or can they use their existing account?
  • Determine how your program will appear to customers. Will this be a pop-up modal, embedded on your landing page, or will the form open in a separate browser window?

Post-verification journey development

  • Determine and develop the experience for where a consumer will navigate to after a successful verification
  • Test the end-to-end use flow, from offer visibility through successful verification and final destination. Are the instructions clear? Is the value of the offer clear?
  • [Coupon Code Offers] Verify that the expiration dates for your codes match the dates of your marketing campaign or offer timeline
  • [Coupon Code Offers] Ensure that alert thresholds are set appropriately in MySheerID to alert the appropriate members of your team when coupon codes are low
  • Is it clear to the customer how often they can take advantage of the discount offered?
  • Confirm that the SheerID PII retention period is in alignment with your legal requirements

  • Develop a list of FAQs specific to who SheerID is, how to verify, expectations, requirements, to qualify, etc. If you're interested in an example FAQ page for reference, please reach out to your customer success manger or project manger
  • Link out to the appropriate SheerID FAQ page
  • Establish internal support protocols for handling launch-day and post-launch inquiries that are unrelated to the verification process

It's important to keep in mind that SheerID is here to support your customers through the verification process, your support team is encouraged to forward SheerID related inquiries to our support form
  • Does your team have the ability to apply the offer on the backend or swap accounts if needed?

Marketing & tracking setup

Targeted marketing campaigns

  • Set up retargeting emails and SMS to increase document review conversions
  • Use webhooks, data connectors, or your own system to add verified consumer data to your CRM or CDP
  • Define your offer. It should be unique and better than any offers that are available to the general public. Consider making it stackable
  • Make your offer available to the entire consumer community you'd like to reach. For example, include veterans and military dependents when you create a military offer
  • Define your KPIs and add appropriate tracking:
  • Consider adding a consolation offer (such as a different promotion that is widely available) for consumers who are not verified community members

Marketing operations

  • Add the offer to your footer, FAQ, and/or promotions pages
  • Add the offer to the footer of your e-newsletter
  • Research keywords for SEO, SEM, and AI
  • Add the offers to your affiliate network
  • Incorporate the offer into your refer-a-friend, influencer, and/or ambassador programs
  • Plan your process for retargeting consumers who verify their eligibility but don't use their coupon code immediately
  • Build nurture campaigns for verified community members
  • Submit your offer to SheerID Shoppers and free PR
  • Create a detailed marketing launch plan

If you have any questions about any of the above, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or your Project Manager (if you are actively involved in an implementation).
