Many of our customers want to track sources of verification traffic so they can understand which marketing campaigns are performing well. This campaign tracking is easy with MySheerID.
Our programs automatically support the 5 common UTM tags
- utm_campaign
- utm_source
- utm_medium
- utm_content
- utm_term
When you append one of these parameters, with a value, to the URL of your offer landing page, these values will automatically be saved in MySheerID Reporting. This works for both the SheerID-hosted page as well as any page where you’ve installed one of our Javascript iFrame snippets.
For example, if you're using a standard verification form, published with the program URL https://services.sheerid.com/verify/ProgramId/
, and want to track a utm_campaign of "Trial", you would replace ProgramId with the actual programId in use, and then append the URL with utm_campaign=trial and publish it as:
https://services.sheerid.com/verify/6a7f5349f56ec659c71030b/?utm_campaign=trial
Any verifications created will automatically save ‘trial’ for the value as metadata on the verification record. You can then see this data by downloading a report in the MySheerID Report Center. They will appear as column headers in your verification reports, alongside other captured fields such as Request ID, Status, and any others you are collecting.
A special campaign Dashboard can be added to your account if you take advantage of using utm_campaign metadata. Reach out to SheerID to request it be added to your account.
