In order to save time when setting up a new program in MySheerID, you can leverage an existing program by making a copy that will carry over important customizations like styling and wording.
In this article, you will learn how to copy an existing program to a new program. This can be done for the same or a different consumer audience as the original program.
The sections below will describe the differences between copying a program in the same consumer audience or a different one.
How to make a copy of a program
To make a copy of an existing program, simply click on the 3-dot option menu on the right side of the program you want to duplicate and choose Copy.
You will then have the option to select an audience for your new program.
Nearly all program settings will be copied to the new program, but there are some exceptions depending on whether it is for the same or a different community. Details are below.
Same consumer audience
There are two program settings that will NOT transfer to the new program and must be configured:

New consumer audience
There are additional program settings that will need to be configured if creating a program for a new consumer audience from a copy.

- For example, the headline of the Collect step references the program's audience (Student, Military), so we use the default headline message for the target audience.
