Add a link to your brand's privacy policy

SheerID's default privacy policy can be found at the bottom of every verification submission form as displayed below:

For additional context, please reference our Consumer Privacy Protections.

It is not required to link your company's privacy policy. If this setting is left untouched, the default footer language is adequate, as it outlines to users how their data will be used.

How to link explicitly to your brand's policy

1. Login to your MySheerID account, and select the program you wish to edit

2. Click on the Settings button

   

3. Navigate to the section labeled Privacy Policy and select +Add

   

4. Toggle the switch to On, then paste the full URL of your company's privacy policy including http or https

   

5. Click Save

To review your changes, close the Settings section to return to your Program details and click on the Program URL. You can also add your privacy policy in the Customize > Flow section.

The default messaging will update to include a hyperlink to your company policy URL as shown in the example below:
