Consumer Verification: Upcoming Enhancements to Improve Consumer Support

Starting in February, we’re rolling out a series of tests designed to make it easier for consumers to get the information they need — fast. These improvements aim to reduce support tickets and streamline key processes.

  • Email First on Verification Form – Users will enter their email address first, allowing us to check for an existing verification or one in progress. If no history is found, they’ll proceed as usual.
  • Email First on Contact Form – Similar to the verification form, but applied to the contact form in the Consumer Help Center.
  • Assertion Checklist – At the document upload step, users will confirm key details (e.g., name, date, organization) via checkboxes before submitting, ensuring accuracy.

These tests will start with Tier 3 programs and expand based on results. We’re closely monitoring the impact, but if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out.

Instant Verification: Driver's License Error Codes

We've improved error messages for Driver's License verification based on client feedback. These updates help distinguish between system-wide issues and individual ID mismatches, ensuring clearer next steps.

New error codes:

  • sourcesUnavailable AAMVA DLDV fully down
  • dataProviderError Target state's DMV unavailable
  • dataNotAvailable State not covered by AAMVA
  • notApproved No match found

These refinements provide more precise handling for better clarity when error codes are presented.

Some updates may not apply to every program. Contact the Product Support Team if you have questions about how these updates apply to your specific programs.
